Programs
Physical Education
Every class participates in a PE program twice a week with a certificated Physical Education Teacher. PE helps students learn not only the skills and knowledge to be physically fit and active, it also gives them the confidence and positive attitude necessary to participate in physical activities.
Proper Clothing
In order to best participate in PE, students should wear appropriate clothing for outdoor play such as running, jumping, climbing, throwing, etc. Closed-toe running shoes or sneakers are preferred.
Adaptive Physical Education (APE)
Students with physical disabilities, receiving special education services may also participate in an Adaptive Physical Education program through their Individualized Education Program (IEP). For questions about APE, please discuss with your Special Education teacher/case manager.
Music
Our music program lays the foundation for future music learning and for all performances at Cameron Ranch. In music class, we sing, play instruments, move and dance, study music history, and listen & respond to a wide variety of musical styles and genres. We learn to read musical notation, develop our pitch and rhythm skills, and make cultural connections through music. We are all both performers and audience members!
